This may seem a little corny. . .

yep. It's corn

Lots and lots of corn!

2 trash bags full of corn straight from the corn field. Thanks to Uncle Jeff for growing oodles of corn! And thanks to mom and dad for giving it to us.
We are thankful for our corny family!

What do you do with that much corn?
Shuck it, trim it, blanche it, cut it, bag it, freeze it.

Simon helped me search for caterpillars. They were his pets for a day. (yuck!)

It made me nostalgic for the days when I used to help my mom shuck buckets full of corn so she could stuff her freezer full. We made corny jokes about it back then too.

And what does 2 trash bags of corn look like when it's all done?
This made a nice addition to my compost bin.

Here is the finished product!

If you decide your family isn't corny enough you can come visit us.

Fits them to a tee

With the help of my amazing Inspriation craft cutter, I whipped up some new shirts for my kids.

I saw Ryan's "I fight bad guys" shirt on this amazing blog called I am momma, hear me roar.

Simon's shirt was inspired by Jeremiah's new baby: A VW Bug named Faux, (a.k.a. Spike). Faux hangs out in our garage and is in a million peices right now. Simon loves working on the bug with his dad.
I got the caption for his shirt from a song that us Udall kids used to sing when we were little. We learned it in Grandma Hall's basement from one of her old records. Good times.
C'mon girls, your remember. Hug hug hug hug a bug bug bug (sung to the melody of Duke of Earl)

Sometimes I feel like I'm dressing everyone else's kids so it feels good to have something fun and unique for my kids to wear.

Due to copywrights and legal stuff, you won't be seeing these in my Etsy shop. They are one of a kind made just for my little guys.
And if you are wondering, I did have to beg Simon to get off the couch to take his picture. He was not a happy camper.
